Robbert Pattinson is now officially Batman and will play the role of Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ movie. It is official now. Robert Pattinson will play Batman in Matt Reeves’, “The Batman.” The 33 years old actor will portray the young version of the caped crusader.
The film is scripted and will be directed by Matt Reeves, who is known for blockbuster movies like Dawn of the Planet of Apes and War of the Planet of Apes.
Ben Affleck was directing, writing, and producing the Batman movie before he left, and Warner Bros started with Matt Reeves. The movie will show a younger Bruce Wayne and will be a different take on the greatest detective of all time.
Along with Robert Pattinson, Nicholas Hoult was also considered for the role, but Twilight star landed the role.
While talking to Variety, Robert Pattinson said:
“I’d had Batman in my mind for a while. It’s such an absurd thing to say. I sort of had an idea to do it, and I’d been prodding Matt. He didn’t accept any prods. I kept asking to meet him.”
Matt Reeves explained to The Hollywood Reporter, about his version of the Batman:
“It’s more Batman in his detective mode than we’ve seen in the films.”
The film will release on 25th June 2021, and the preproduction will start this summer.
