Kang’s real identity is Nathaniel Richards, a descendant of Mister Fantastic himself. He was born in a 31st-century utopia, but was bored out of his mind. After discovering a time machine left by Doctor Doom, one of his ancestors, Kang decided to use it to go on some excellent adventures.
He first posed as the Egyptian pharaoh Rama-Tut, but got beat by the Fantastic Four. After that embarrassment, he adopted the Kang title and started battling Avengers and heroes across time.
