Marvel Comics is home to many of the most powerful and mighty superheroes in comic history. But who among them stands out as the physically strongest? When looking at raw power and strength, a few names come to the top.

1. Hulk

Many consider the Hulk to be the strongest superhero in Marvel comics.

When transformed into the Hulk, the alter ego of Dr. Bruce Banner becomes an unstoppable force with seemingly limitless strength and power. The madder the Hulk gets, the stronger he becomes, making his strength immeasurable. The Hulk has demonstrated feats like lifting mountains, withstanding planet-shattering impacts, and defeating most heroes and villains with his brute strength alone.

2. Thor Odinson

Thor, the God of Thunder, is another contender for the strongest Marvel hero. As an Asgardian god, Thor possesses divine abilities like super strength, durability, and control over lightning. He possesses immense strength that rivals the Hulk’s and once lifted the Midgard Serpent, which coils around the entire Earth. His strength seems to have no bounds.

3. The Thing

The Thing, of the Fantastic Four, has strength that nearly equals the Hulk’s. His hardened rock-like skin provides nearly impenetrable defense but also superhuman strength enough to lift around 100 tons. In comparison, the Hulk has lifted well over 100 tons. While the Thing doesn’t seem to match the unlimited strength of the Hulk, he has proven ability to at least temporarily overwhelm the green giant.

4. Captain Marvel, Hyperion, Gladiator?

Characters like Captain Marvel, Hyperion, and Gladiator also possess incredible strength that may rival some of Marvel’s mightiest.

But when looking at pure physical strength alone, the Hulk stands out as the strongest and most powerful hero in the Marvel universe. His strength knows no limits, making him the heaviest of hitters.
