Liv Tyler, the actress known for her roles in movies like Armageddon and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, is making a comeback to Marvel Studios. After fifteen years, she will reprise her role as scientist Betty Ross in the upcoming movie, Captain America 4, titled Captain America: New World Order, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Betty Ross is the daughter of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who will now be played by Harrison Ford in the new installment. William Hurt portrayed the character in previous films. Tyler’s last Marvel appearance was in The Incredible Hulk, released in 2008, which starred Edward Norton as Bruce Banner/The Hulk.

The movie also features other MCU characters, including original super-soldier Isaiah Bradley played by Carl Lumbly, Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s Joaquin Torres played by Danny Ramirez, and newcomer Shira Haas. The lead role of Sam Wilson, aka Captain America, will be played by Anthony Mackie.

Captain America 4 is currently being directed by Julius Onah and is being shot in Atlanta. Malcolm Spellman, the creator of The Winter Soldier show, wrote the script with Dalan Musson. The movie is set to release on May 3, 2024.
