Chadwick Boseman

”Chadwick Aaron Boseman” (November 29, 1976 – August 28, 2020) was an American actor best known for playing the superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Early Life and Career

Boseman was born in Anderson, South Carolina. He studied directing at Howard University and acted in early 2000s television shows. His first major film role was playing baseball icon Jackie Robinson in 2013’s 42.

In 2016, Boseman made his first appearance as Prince T’Challa / Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War. His performance as the noble Wakandan king eager to avenge his father’s death received widespread praise.

He starred in 2018’s Black Panther, which explored T’Challa’s origin story and the futuristic nation of Wakanda. Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther became a cultural phenomenon acclaimed for its predominantly black cast and celebration of African culture.
